Danish RYA Wool Reversible Rug from the 1970 mid century modern 4.5' X 6.5' #HP0152
New old stock wool mixed technique rug from the 1970s, 79 x 54 inches. The label is no longer present, but I’m fairly sure it was made in Denmark like the other rugs in this collection. Really interesting technique and design.
Off-white and chocolate brown flatweave field with a unique raised tufted off-white wool design. Reversible so you can use either side (see photos).
This rug is part of a trove of Danish Rya rugs that were imported into the US in the late 1970s, stored in a warehouse, and never sold until the original owner's family decided to sell them this year.
